V Board Revises Homecoming Discovering that Liaison Board was willing to deal with any school related problems, more people and organizations were prompted to present their conflicts and opinions to them. Liaison Board sometimes helped by taking action to correct the problem, but more often the Board acted by providing those involved with information and suggesting possible solutions. After receiving the results of a Liaison Board survey, the Responsibility Pass program was then revised, and steps toward a more organized and enjoyable Homecoming were taken. Also, students who expressed a desire for more dances got what they wanted when the Board appealed to clubs to sponsor those dances. Later a board committee organized a description booklet of all school clubs to be given to freshmen. CLOCKWISE, STARTING AT TOP: LIAISON BOARD: FIRST ROW: T. Rothenbuehler, Q. Jew, D. Grenawalt, M. Tyrol Basin Exhilarates Spanish Club From the beginning of the school year at a Mexican dinner, Spanish Club experienced full attendance and participation by all its members, including two foreign exchange students from Mexico, Maggie Cervera, and Richardo Garcia. Parents were also invited to come and try some different but delicious Mexican delicacies. Following the meal, Mr. Stauffacher, social studies teacher, presented slides of Mexico from a trip he had taken. Led by president Carol Endres, vice-president Ann Trickel, secretary Patti Silvis, and treasurer Pat Endres, the club planned to have fun by skiing at Tyrol Basin in Mount Horeb and experienced more Mexican cuisine at Paco's in Madison. Funds for the activities were obtained from candy bar sales and enough was made to put toward future scholarships. CLOCKWISE, LOWER LEFT: FIRST ROW: AFS students M. Cevera, R. Garcia.
