Apparently our MHS Spirit rose (remember the M room) as many fans turned out for the Thursday night pep rally and bonfire. With high spirits, the team assured us of a Homecoming Victory. A Grave Ending for Fort, the title of the winning senior class float, proved to be true as Monroe buried Fort with a 34-6 victory. Bringing up the rear of the Homecoming Parade were our peppy cheerleaders. However at the game, competition was offered by an uninvited intruder a skunk! Pound Me we did! nich crowned Excitement filled the air as Queen of Homecoming and as co-captains Jim Lovelace and Dave Grams looked on. Our royalty, Queen Mikie Mitchell and attendants Sheri Baumgartner and Ruth Benkert, managed to look fresh in spite of the weather.
