This is the twelfth volume of the Hurricane since it made its debut in 1945. Prev- ious to this time there were two volumes, the Melting Pot of l9i5 and the Monroe Doctrine of 1927. The Hurricane has grown from a fifty-six page 8xiO book to the present volume, O 9xl2 book of one hundred pages. Underclassmcn elected to the staff are Lynn Huie, Jr., Carol Perkins, Harriet Bradley, Donna Gustafson, Melva Clegg, Marie Clegg, James Williams, Patsy Autry, Glenda Young, Elizabeth Pollock, Peggy Chandler, Betty Kidd, Linda Westmoreland, Gail Mitcham, Clifford Lowery, Neal Jackson, Roy Morris, Joel Cole, and Beth Queen. These girls surpassed the goal in getting ads. They are Judy Cooper, Pai Haralson, Becky Verner, Janet Crossley, Nan Gattis, Mary Thompson, Judy Brown, Faye Baker, Nancy Preston, Louie Stewart, lna Thompson, Jane Johnston Lee Nowell, and Jan McGarity.
