V DEDICATION The Annual Staff of Monroe High School humbly and gratefully dedicates the 1965 issue of the Hayu Saghalie to Mr. Paul Graden. For sixteen years he served and befriended the Monroe School District. Memories of his cheerfulness and willing- ness to serve remain with us at Monroe High. He retired in October, 1964, and was succeeded by Mr. Clifford Geer. We wish Mr. Graden good luck and our sincere thanks. 2

CHARLES WICKIZER, Vice Principal BOARD OF EDUCATION MR. ROBERT COLE, Principal MR. WICKIZER'S STIRRING WORDS Another year passes us by--another year of hard work, good times and many memories. In such a community as Monroe, we find a student body second to none as the advantages of rural living combined with urban op- portunities so close by serve to give the youth a variety of choices. The outlook for the future is bright indeed. . . Charles Wickizer PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE There have never been greater opportunities afforded the youth of America than those awaiting our youth of to- day. As we look to the future, we encourage the stu- dents of Monroe High School to prepare for these oppor- tunities by striving to gain a quality education as we endeavor to provide a quality program. This proud tradition of Monroe High School is upheld through this outstanding yearbook. Congratulations to Mrs. Nelson and the staff of Hayu Saghalie.. . Robert Cole.
