Dr. Delbert G. Peterson, superin- tendent of Monroe public schools went to high school in Yakima and served in the United States Navy for two and a half years. He attended the University of Washington and graduated from West- ern Washington State College. His master's degree was earned at Columbia University and he com- pleted his doctorate at Washington State University. Before accepting the Monroe position, Dr. Peterson taught at Mt. Baker Jr.-Sr. High School; served as principal of Sunnydale Elemen- tary School at Highline; was on the staff at W.S.U.; and was Deputy Superin- tendent of Jefferson County Schools in Lakewood, Colorado. He is married and has three boys. Mark is enrolled in kindergarten at Monroe and Jim is a junior at M.H.S. Del, his oldest boy, goes to Wenatchee Junior College. Dr. Delbert G.
