By moving the upper vertex of the triangle, which she has in her hand, from point to point on the board, the base angles change in size. The variation in degree measure is shown by the protractors which have their centers at the vertexes of these angles. This is only one of the many gadgets at Monroe used to demonstrate geometric and trig- onometric principles to classes. Other mock-ups include models of solid geometric figures, plane figures, and skew quadrilaterals.
