The need for pleasant and workable coordination between the faculty and the students of a school is fulfilled at Monroe by a Student Council. This group represents the students and together with the faculty it plans for each student to take an active part in the school. The Student Council also works to carry school policy to each student and to supply a needed interest in school government. But above all, the Student Council is an in- vestment in the future. It trains the students of today to become the patriotic citizens of tomorrow with a real interest in their govern- ment, and the ability and willingness to take an active part in it.
