. Vu!! , The Editorial Staff is to be commended in its use as the theme of this year's Hi-Lites Student Life. Student life embodies all of what we symbolize as an alma mater in our future assembly of reminiscences. Loyalty and faith go together. We are loyal to those things in which we believe because of values which they represent and which we seek. Our loyalties and our faiths are tests of character. The Great Apostle named as those things that abide and are most important, faith, hope and love. In an age of unlimited knowledge and material resources available to every American, we need to ask our- selves the question as to what are our abiding loyalties and faiths. May the 1959 Hi-Lites be a permanent reminder not alone of an enjoyable year of achieve- ment but may it also be a dedication to the great ideals of service and knowledge and creativity. mama ?rim'1jvals Never will I find a more cooperative student body, faculty, or community with which to work than that with which I have been privileged to be associated during the past six years. I have a great deal of af- fection for those who have been a part of the school and wish to thank each of you for the wonderful reception and courtesies extended my family and myself during our tenure in Farmland. I will watch your future achievements with more than casual pride and interest, and will feel tremend- ously successful if the school has, in some small way, made a contribution to a more successful and happier future for you. gggfgzfx :E t I l I l F i ll 1
