'F ns I UD 9 ' r THE FLAME 4,1 -5 'I -I It seems that the illustration of lh-. survival cf the fittcst has again been car- ried out With oui 15' crm! ides we organized again with the following officers: Plcsident Robert Ixeenan Vice Pl9S'd6llf Mitchell Steffler' Secretary Marcella Pickering Treasuiei Ioseph Leepcr. Our first activity at the beginning of this yeai was the publishing of a nevs spaper. Another VVhoopee party was held in the Mother Nature denotes the coming of fall and winter but with us that phrase Tuinmg ot Leaves means nothing but the approach of examination time. Those weie the trying days Then came the grand and glorious feeling. Vacation. And then DlOlltl .Jl1lllOlS The opening of the thnd round of our struggle found us viith 128 members ready to stfrm those defenses behind which were concealed the knowledge of Punch I atm Fnelish Phy s1cs and other bug-bears. There was but one thought uppelmost in our mind the Jlll110I' and Senior Prom. During this year we were peimitted three paities Who can ever forget the good old cider and ginger- blead that was serve d us on our first Junior party? As Juniors we took on great pep The class of 99 began to show such pep that the Seniors became frighten- el At least that is the way they acted. As Juniors we elected the following officeis Piesident William Smith Vice President Hamilton Little' Secretary- Treasurer Grace Yohe At this time the Freshmen were all wishing that summer was here so that we couldnt throw snr-wballs at them. This was a very active yeal for us foi we all were members of various social clubs and other societies. A dream of many years was realized with the event of the Junior-Senior Prom. It was one of the best that was ever given and oh! how we wfrked to put it over. The girls in their Prom dresses and the boys in their Sears-Roebuck suits. It made a beautiful picture of girlish innocence and boyish deviltry. Andi with this event we closed another memorable year. Farewell Seniors.
