U IOR It was early in the morning and the sun was up bright, Gerber iust got up and he sure looked a sight. Evelyn had planned for everyone to be there at nine, But it seemed impossible for Annie to be on time. Then lrene mentioned that it was getting late, And Lorene said, We sure can't miss this date. Then all at once Marlene began to laugh and Alton began io blush, For he had lost his suspenders somewhere in the rush. At last Bob came in and yelled for all to get aboard, But Willie got excited and fell over a light cord. Poor Norman had planned on going to the fair, But in his new suit there was a little tear. So Kiess ran in the house to get the safety pins, Then we almost forgot to get the Schroeder twins. Then we thought we had every one as we went down the hill, But when we got to the bottom there stood Bill. lt didn't take Ferd long to get us to the fair, But it seemed like that old bus was flying through the air. No one would volunteer to go and take the lead, But Charlie wanting to be brave, finally agreed. Though some went on the ferris wheel and some another ride, To ride the little airplanes was Kenny's ioy and pride. an Wolfe. CLASS POE Then we went through a door and down a little hall, There we saw Max Andrews known as Eightball. Mildred said it was twelve o'clock and time to go and eat, So we ate at Maxine's place where the cooking is hard to beat, Next we went to the park to see the lover's booth, When we opened the door there we saw Ruth. All at once there was excitement and every kind of sound, Then we saw Barbara riding on the merry-go-round. To see the bathing beauties was the boys only desire, Who should we find there but Joan Bultemeier. Later we went to hear a famous fellow sing, When we got there we heard Floyd Elherding. The sun was going down and what a beautiful setting, As we walked past the dance floor we saw Dorothy Oetting. We walked around all day and then went to a show, There we saw Joan Fuelling and her handsome beau. We had a lot of fun and it was quite a day, On the way home Jim mentioned that we forgot La Rae. The day was coming to an end and our house was now in sight, But you should have been a little mouse when Roland kissed his girl good-night. Mush, mush, mush, that is the way it goes, If you don't believe me, iust ask Dorothy Crosby, she knows! Page Ten
