Leonato amazed because his niece Be- atrice swore she could never love Bene- dick. 44 — Plays MUCH ADO ABOUT MOWING Love is the subject of Much Ado About Nothing which of course does not run smoothly. The story is full of deceptions led by Don John and carried by his follower ' s Conrade, and Borachio. The story follows four young lovers, Beatrice and Benedick, and Hero and Claudio. Beatrice and Benedick, are constantly battling with each other while love has blinded Hero and Claudio. Everything runs smoothly until Don John with the aide of Conrade and Bora- chio convince Claudio that Hero is a Lady of the Eve- ning and not worthy of mar- riage. As a result, Claudio re- fuses to marry Hero at the ceremony and Hero ' s father, Leonato disowns her. At the advice of the Friar, Hero feigns death and Claudio, overcome with grief agrees to marry a niece of Leonato ' s. When the two are united Clau- dio discovers this niece is really Hero. TALLEV MO SON Talley and Son is the story of the wealthy Talley family in a small rural town during the end of the Second World War. The family patriarch, Calvin, is thought to be dying, there- fore, the grandson ' s Timmy and Buddy are called home for the funeral. Timmy is killed in ac- tion before they get together. What appears to be a strong and loving family crumbles with the news of Timmy ' s death. All the old sins of the past are brought up and used as ammunition against other fam- ily members. During the course of action Timmy wanders through the house seeing his family torn apart and all the while begin- ning to realize that he is actual- ly dead. No one can see or hear him until the very end of the show when his Aunt Lottie speaks with him which fore- shadows her own close-follow- ing death. The entire show has the gen- eral theme of individuals mean- ing nothing. Life follows the same pattern; we are born, grow up, suffer, and disappear.
