Text from Pages 1 - 168 of the 1976 volume:

From the high brick window Way up here I can see the street. It fills with people Dressed in black. Quiet, neat. v i ' ll. , ■ erf X They stare up. In double-file they cross In my direction. Now I can hear Their leather feet Clatter on the stairs. iVK surely they are not Coming here With their brown paper. Smell of incense, flowers. The bolt turns in the door. I cannot turn. Whether you conne here to study, sleep, socialize, or to breathe un- pollenated air, you ' ll always find it a nice place to visit.
