J LIBRARY CLUB ORGANIZES LIBRARY This year the Library Club was made up of nine girls. One or two of the girls spent each period in the library instead of in a study hall. They took care of the desk by check ing out books and by Writing overdue notices. They also helped other students find books and needed information. When books were returned to the library, these girls had the responsibility of returning each book to its proper place on the shelf. Every year the club has sold candy to earn enough money for an educational trip. The money this year was used to finance a Weekend visit to Washington, D. C. 82 Library Club

The members were the team statisticians and students from the dif ferent teams and the cheerleading squads. The major role of the club was to provide jackets for its senior members. s MONITEAU BUSINESS CLUB 35353 RECEIVES :Eiga VALUABLE Q EXPERIENCE The Business Club of Moniteau had a membership of 26 seniors and 21 juniors. The fall activity was the annual sale of novelties for Christmas. Monetary prizes were awarded to the four highest salesmen. Before Christmas the club held an auction for the members, at which time all remain- ing items Were sold. With the money earned from this sale, the club Went on a spring tour of business schools and colleges in Pittsburgh. Two or three schools were visited each year so that by the time the seniors were graduated, they had toured four or five leading schools in western Pennsylvania. 41 .
