The Missing Link Club, girls' social organization of M.J.C., whose membership is limited to fifteen girls and their sponsor, was organized in 1929 as an auxiliary to the Gorillas. The club colors are red and black, and the emblem is a missing link. Each year the club endeavors to lend its support to worthwhile activities. In 1936, the club published the college annual, Mo Ju Co. In 1937, they sponsored a tea in honor of the Senior girls of all schools attending the Monett Music Festival. Sigma Mu was organized in 1955-54. The object of the club is to stimulate interest in the different phases of mathematics. Any student of college science or mathematics was eligible to membership. At present only students of mathematics are members. Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month. The meetings are devoted to hour programs followed by games of various sorts.
