Well, long hair is stylish! student and adult attention. Three months passed in the blink of an eye and suddenly the Yuletide festivities burst forth upon the scene. On December 18, the Senior High Combined Ensembles presented their annual Christmas program. The performance con- sisted of religious and secular selections and a presentation of the Dickens Classic, A Christmas Diane Rusnak made her debut as Mr, Joyboy in a PFTA presentation. A folk-rock group The Blue Denims entertained at a lively glee as sembly.

MHS electricians added Christmas spirit to the picture window. Offiee Secretaries, Sherrie and Jeanie, PIHY Santa Claus- Soloist Mary Majors offered the inspiring Do You Hear What I Hear at the Christ mas conceit. lowed as we ushered in 1969. And suddenly we were, once again, back at our desks at MHS. It seemed like the buzz of movement and the hum of voices had never ceased. The news circulated that the band had been invited to at- tend the apple Blossom Festival in Winchester, Virginia. And no sooner had the kids from county chorus returned than MHS sent representatives to both District Chorus and Band! Iowa Tests were administered and results proved that scholastically MHS ranks among the very best! On February 16, the Seniors made possibly the most important '- s., p Dickens' Scrooge, Donnell Matthews, said Bah, humbug to the Yuletide spirit. 25
