The Monessen Board of Education consists ot seven men elected by the people and empowered by the State to pro- vide educational facilities for the citizens of Monessen. Since an enlightened citizenry is necessary in order that a democratic form of government may function in any com- munity, state, or nation, each community must see that an opportunity is provided for each boy and girl to develop to their fullest capacity.
