We, the Senior Class of 1965, bid you, Monessen High School, a fond and regretful farewell. The time has come for us to leave and to put into practice what you have taught us through the years. Though our hearts are sad, we take solace in knowing that the years cannot erase events that are now beautiful memories forever sealed within the confines of our hearts. . . . sign-making parties where we used countless bottles of paint and rolls of paper . . . wonderful proms where the world of reality became a world of fantasy . . . enchanting Christmas dances . . . riotous pep- rallies . . . the senior bonfire . . . getting up early on Saturday mornings for N.F.L. tournaments . . . nights at the library working on the research paper . . . rushing to the many club meetings . . . struggling to make our class plays the successes that they were . . . worrying about our post-gradua- tion plans . . . the announcing of the Top 20 . . . the excitement of our class night and commencement .... These memories we shall cherish. They have become part of us as we have become part of you, Monessen High School-as we have become another page in the annals of your illustrious history. Eventually, as the hand of time turns the pages, as our successor's to the rank of Senior move up, we shall find our- selves ioining those classes that have gone before. But in one way, we shall always remain unique, for we, Monessen High School, shall always be the Class of l965. l You may have two cookies today. Flattery will get you somewhere, so start talking 7
