Montreal, Canada Early Saturday morning, June 3, 1967, the Concert Wind Ensemble prepared to depart for its concerts at Expo '67. Mr. Putzier, the director, and the chaperones efficiently organized the departure. The air-conditioned chartered buses were driven by Dick Johnson and Jerry Winget. After staying the first night in Elkhart, Indiana, the ensemble spent the second night in Buffalo, New York, where everyone enjoyed a side trip to Niagara Falls. The weary travelers finally arrived at the College of Saint-Jean Vianney in Montreal late Monday evening. The ensemble presented two concerts on Wednesday: one in the forenoon; one in the afternoon. Well worth the wait! Gourmets?? Eating again?? Vive la France In concert. Thursday began the long trip home. After passing through customs, the group spent the night in Detroit, Michigan, and toured that City's Ford Museum. The last night, spent in Chicago, was one of swimming, partying, and reminiscing.
