Those qualities which make each of us unique and therefore ourselves, may be our talents. To develop the talents of the student has been and is the aim at Mondovi High School. Talents are wasted if a life is wasted. Therefore we must all live and act responsibly if we expect to benefit from this educational opportunity given us in a free society. Freedom is what you do with it. Superintendent Two things develop character. One is good mental attitude, the other is wise use of your time. Neither alone is sufficient; they are of equal importance. Together they determine the strength of character. Mental attitude must be positive. There has to be a firm belief that life is a gift and an opportunity. Since it is a gift we must take it as it is; we cannot dictate its terms. Since it is an opportunity, it is our duty to make the most of it. There is a certain amount of luck in life, but whatever our luck, with the right mental attitude we should live cheerfully, as usefully, and as effectively as our talents and efforts will permit. The Sophomore laden team had four wins and four losses. Mr. Anderson feels the rebuilding that was accomplished will pay dividends in the years ahead. Inconsistency plagued the 1966-67 Mondovi basketeers. The 1967-1968 season should be bright with three regulars returning. Coach Bar-neson claims next year the team will have an accent on speed and defense. The Buffalo matmen had a dual meet record of 4 wins, 6 losses and 1 tie. Coach Thomsen stated the team lacked experience. Coach Thomsen feels the boys will have to sacrifice and work hard to be a winner next year. Anticipating a good crop of freshmen and all the veterans returning, the track program should be much better. Coach Parker predicts the team will be strong in the dashes and the weights. 32 ROW 1: M Tanner, B Elkinton, R Miles, L Adam, N Kisselberg, T Brunner, D Kramschuster ROW 2: K Eide, L Johnson, K Schultz, C Poeschel, S Rud, C Ness, L Hagness, G Kins, G Forthun L Scharf ROW 3: S Johnston, A Luedtke, L Hager, B Crowell, D Dregney, S Auer, M Ringger, S Marten, D Lightfoot, J Klopp, D Berger ROW 4: B Wright, C Forster, J Eide, M Brunner, M Rieck, S Glanzman, S Heike, D Deetz, J Whelan, N Glanzman, D Marten, J Aase ROW 5: S Kisselberg, P Schultz, Mr Putzier THE BRASS SEXTET AT STATE The Concert Band performs at all home football games, the Christmas Concert, and the Spring Concert.
