The Mondovi Junior Dairyman's Association is composed of students enrolled in Vocational Agriculture and graduate members until they reach twenty-one years of age. This year's membership total is seventy. The objectives of the association are: to develop leadership, to encourage record keeping, to promote herd building, and to improve the quality of the dairy product. Last year the Mondovi Association was one of five state winners of the Efficient Milk Production Award, and received a large plaque and a $50 check. This was the fourth consecutive year Mondovi has won. Gary Moe and John Thorson also were one of five winners in the Demonstration Contest and received a trophy. Michelle Anderson was the winner of a Pure Milk Products Cooperative Questionnaire Award, receiving a certificate of $10. A began this year with its largest membership ever. There are 84 members, which includes 100% of the Vocational Agriculture enrollment, and 14 post highschool members. The largest program being carried on by the Chapter this year is the Farm Safety Program. An extensive Slow Moving Vehicle sign campaign and a very successful Safe Corn Harvest Program were conducted. This is the first year this Chapter has had three State Farmer Applicants. They are Eugene Bump, Gary Moe and Dennis Werlein. Gary Moe is also making application for a state office. Other activities of the Chapter have been a good Corn for Polio Drive, the Rodent Control program, and a donkey basketball game to raise money for the AFS student fund. Dennis Werlein won the local FFA public speaking program and represented the Mondovi Chapter in the District Contest at Osseo. OFFICERS L-R; K. Ward, Treasurer, G. Moe, V-President; L.
