GIRLS’ ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION Among the GAA highlights for 1960-61 were the sponsoring of several Homecoming activities and selling of refreshments during football and basketball games for an extra income. The Homecoming candidate and queen this year was Mary Jo Bloss. Basketball and volleyball were played with tournaments following the regular season of each sport. Officers for this year were: President, Mary Jo Bloss; Vice-President, Jane Rutschow; Secretary, Audrey Weiss; Treasurer, Carole Stienke; and Advisor was Mrs. Lappin. ROW 1: C. Rleck, J. Molitor, R. The Tumbling Club held its first meeting of the 1960-61 school year October 3. They chose Mary Jo Bloss as their captain. They put on a half-time performance at the Whitehall and the Arcadia games. The girls practiced diligently and were successful in all their activities. The membership consisted of 30 girls. Their advisor was Mrs. Lappln. Tumbling team in action.
