TRACK ROW Is Mr. Parker, C. Brenner, W. Latshaw, J. Walker, R. Canar, R. Hagen, D. Rustad, W. Llnse, Mr. Miles. ROW 2: G. Nyre, R. Yarrington, P. Holden, J. Andress, J. Johnson, C. Dryden, D. Johnson, P. Fitzgerald, D. Linse, M. Hageness, G. Schultz, T. Anderson. Five boys and the 880 yard relay team from the 1960 track team placed in the conference and sectional track meets. They were: Bob Canar and Jim Andress 4th and 5th respectively in the conference in the 100 yard dash; Rus Hagen 2nd in the conference and 4th in the sectional meet in the 220 yard dash; John Walker 5th in the sectional in the 440 yard run; Bill Linse 2nd in the conference and 3rd in the sectional in the 880 yard run; and the 880 yard relay team com posed of Rus Hagen, Marv Hageness, Jim Andress, and Bob Canar, placed 5th in the conference. All these boys will be back to form the nucleus for Mr. Miles' 1961 track squad. SPORT SIDELIGHTS D. Johnson and D. Rustad preparing for the OUCH! That hurt track meet.

ROW 3: D. Linse, D. Poeschel, M. Hageness, J. Rud, G. Diller, R. Parr, F. Weiss, E. Brantner. BASEBALL With all underclassmen, the Mondovi baseball team won 1 and lost 8 in 1960. The inexperience definitely was a factor as some costly mistakes were made but the team showed improvement as they lost by only 2 runs to Arcadia and by 1 run to Durand in the tournaments. The district tournament was held in Mondovi with the host team losing to Durand 6 to 5. The lettermen returning are: George Diller, catcher; Dave Whelan and Duane Poeschel, pitchers; Jerry Rud, first-base; John Bollinger, second-base; Marv Hageness, third-base; John Marten, shortstop; Dale Kent and Ron Parr, outfielders.
