ROW 3: D. Linse, D. Poeschel, M. Hageness, J. Rud, G. Diller, R. Parr, F. Weiss, E. Brantner. BASEBALL With all underclassmen, the Mondovi baseball team won 1 and lost 8 in 1960. The inexperience definitely was a factor as some costly mistakes were made but the team showed improvement as they lost by only 2 runs to Arcadia and by 1 run to Durand in the tournaments. The district tournament was held in Mondovi with the host team losing to Durand 6 to 5. The lettermen returning are: George Diller, catcher; Dave Whelan and Duane Poeschel, pitchers; Jerry Rud, first-base; John Bollinger, second-base; Marv Hageness, third-base; John Marten, shortstop; Dale Kent and Ron Parr, outfielders.
