Hundreds of students have gone from our school to college or various jobs and vocations. The achievement records they have left behind and the measures of success that have come to them indicate that Mondovi High School has been, and will continue to be, an institution of learning that any community would be proud to call its own. The people of the community should be highly commended for providing you this opportunity to prepare yourselves adequately for the future. I know that you are also proud of your school and that this pride will spur you on to work toward high achievement and great success. To the Class of '61, it is my hope that you will go forth prepared to meet the world as we know it today with all its uncertainties, and that you will strive to reach the pinnacle of those who have gone before. SUPERINTENDENT HEHLI THE ADMINISTRATION The often quoted meeting between Alice and the Cheshire Cat sets the stage for some sound thinking: Would you tell me please, which way I ought to go on from here? That depends a good deal on where you want to get to, said the Cat. ”1 don't much care where -, said Alice. Then it doesn't matter which way you go, said the Cat. - so long as I get SOMEWHERE, Alice added as an explanation. Oh, you're sure to do that, said the Cat. If you only walk long enough. There isn't any question that all people were placed on this earth for a purpose. The question is. Have we done enough serious thinking so that in our own minds we have ideas concerning our purpose in being, or are we like Alice, seeking direction to an unknown destination?
