P R O D s u T C A T F I F O N Once a month the Buffalo Billboard was published by its staff, who were students interested in journalism. These students were advised by Mrs. Ede. The Co-Editors, John Teela and Dick Putzier, were assisted by a News Editor, Feature Editor, Organizations Editor, and a Sports Editor. It was the duty of Diane Colby, the News Editor, and her news reporters to gather news articles from around the school. Feature Editor, Mary Robinson, and her assistants collected non-news articles and other articles of general interest to the students. The articles concerning the organizations and classes were written by Organizations Editor, Ginny Ecke and her reporters. The Sports section of the Buffalo Billboard was compiled by Sports Editor, Dave Hovey and his reporters. The production of the paper involved many steps before it came out a finished copy. The written articles were typed in dummy form by the advanced shorthand class. From there the copy was proofread by our advisor. Miss Oas. The Co-Editors then laid out the pages before the stencil typists began their job of stencil typing each page. The stencil was then completed by putting cartoons, headlines, and other an work on the pages. At last the pages were ready to roll. The students in charge of mimeographing completed the pages supplying the entire student body and faculty with a Buffalo Billboard. First row: S. Everson, R. Holden, M. Van Hoesen, D. Ottosen, L. Don Smith served as Editor this year assisted by Ruth Holden, Typing Editor; Susan Amunson, Copy Editor; Mary Lee, Art Editor; and several copy writers.
