20 RAYMOND HUSTAD Raymond was bom on August 28, 1916. His chief interest in life is to become 100 years old. He says that the best way to do this is to remain single and eat Duck Soup. His favorite song is “Headin’ for the last Round-up”, and his favorite flower is the lily. (A lily in his hand and Mae West in his heart.) NORRIS JOHNSON Norris “Norsky” Johnson was bom on March 21, 1916. He aspires to fame as a farmer. He desires wisdom and favors the poetry of Robert Frost. He is a faithful Republican and would spend $5000 if he had it. Being a farmer, he naturally favors summer. His favorite holiday is Christmas. RAY JOHNSTON Ray was bom in Mondovi on May 16, 1916. He is a son of the earth as he plans “to farm and make a go of it.” He wishes to marry a good cook who is easy-going and pretty. A very safe choice. He wishes to have wealth, fame and wisdom. VERLE KINS Verle was bom January 15, 191 His greatest ambitions are to be successful and to be wise. The girl he marries must be beautiful, brilliant, sympathetic, and loveable, and he wishes to marry her as soon as he is prepared—whatever that means. JOHN KREHER John was bom in Mondovi on August 17, 1917. He is a tall, lanky Republican who collects stamps, builds ship models, plays with electricity, reads Ludwig and “Little Orphan Annie”, admires Will Rogers and Elissa Landi, and idolizes George Washington. He is always extremely busy with extra-curricular activities.

19 JOSEPH DEETZ Joseph, a true potato-loving Irishman, was bom in Gilmanton on October 31, 1918. He aspires to reach fame by teaching, farming or as a stenographer. His favorite orchestras are, he says, the Minneapolis Sympathy and the New York Philo Harmonic. He believes in stealing when he doesn’t get what he wants. LELAND GIESE Leland, who was bom on March 10, 1918, wishes to become an aviator, mechanic, or musician. The girl he marries must be sensible, beautiful and popular He states, however, that he never wishes to marry. Apparently, he can’t find that kind of girl. However, he has taken a fancy to Mae West. Does she fill those requirements? ROBERT GRIFFITHS A true Methodist Welchman, Bob Griffiths was bom on September 20, 1917 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. A typical son of the ministry. Bob believes that lies, theft, and murder are all justifiable; the latter especially if he “has it in for somebody”. He is very sensible about marriage. He will marry as soon as he can finance it. He also stated that if he got $5000, he’d spend it, but how he wouldn’t tell. RUTH HUEBNER Ruth was bom in Shawno, Wisconsin on July 1, 1917. Her chief interests in life are men, music, and money. She desires to marry a man who is wealthy, brilliant, handsome, and faithful. The little gold-digger! Before she marries, she wishes to become a success as an artist, beauty culturist, or nurse. She believes that lies are justifiable when she “comes in too late some nights.”

21 VILAS LIEBERMAN Vilas was bom in Mondovi on July 30, 1916. He is the “Little Giant” of Athletics although he loves pie. Watch those training rules, Vilas. He also adores Cagney and West. The girl he marries must be “truthful, a good worker, good looking, and popular. TONETTA LILLESKOV Tonetta “Tony” Lilleskov was bom in Modena on October 11, 1917. She has rather popular likes and dislikes. Her favorite dish is a glass one. She likes to spend her time in chewing gum and gossiping. If she received $5000 she’d do nothing with it. ( She doesn’t “cross bridges”) EILEEN LUBINSKY Eileen was bom in Mondovi on December 16, 1917. She is now an ambitious young lady who adores Gene Raymond, Abe Lyman, Joe Penner, swimming, ice cream, and a few more things, and longs to become a professional dancer. GLEN MAHER On December 2, 1916, Glen Maher was bom in St. Paul, Minnesota. This young man, popularly known as “Bud”, adores brown potatoes with gravy, girls that are interesting and like to cook, and roses. He reads “Buck Rogers” and Sinclair Lewis. If his dreams come true, he will become a famous singer. REBECCA NOGLE Rebecca Nogle was bom in Mondovi on February 16. 1918. This young blond enjoys dancing and typing, admires Kay Francis and Clark Gable, reads Mrs. Lutz, and likes macaroni. She wants an ambitious, truthful, loving, and educated husband.
