15 JEAN T NES “Five foot two, eyes of blue, oh what those two eyes can do— This little Irish lass finds her amusement in dancing and eating hot chocolates. She most desires fame and her favorite newspaper is the Mondovi “Herald-News”. ALICE THOMPSON Alice’s chief interest in life is to become a little girl like the majority of her classmates. On her favorite holiday, which is her birthday, she sings “Good Old Mountain Music”, and listens to “Wolf Paw” on the radio. DIXON TRUSLER We all know that Dixon is on his way to being a Second Mark Twain or Booth Tarkington. Funny, but he isn’t quite sure about his height, for he states that he is all the way from 5’4” to 5’8”. JACK TURNER This ladies’ man hails from Montana, and is he fussy about his women! Lovable, beautiful, and popular are the characteristics they must possess. His greatest ambition is to eat. He’ll probably be a 300 pounder some day. ELEANORE URNESS Eleanore prefers Shakespeare to Zane Grey, and who wouldn’t! She likes to spend her leisure time reading his works, and her free periods in school are given to the study of Home Economics, which she prefers to all other high school subjects. JOHN OLE WARD Why, John Ole Ward, are we surprised at you! He wishes his future wife to be a user of opium. But we know your game now; you’re thinking of sneaking out on her when she is under its influence. As you all know, Mr. Ward plans on becoming a famous orchestra leader. At least he’s thinking about it.

14 HILMA SIE A future seamstress! And she probably will be a famous one because she most desires to have fame. Evidently, Hilma believes she can have her good times quietly, because her favorite amusements are listening to the radio and reading the “Readers Digest”. MARCUS STIENKE Oh, Marcus must have already chosen his favorite freshman girl because he wishes to marry early in life. She must be ambitious, good-looking, large, and honest. Contrary to the rule, if he suddenly received $5000, he would try to increase it. There’s also a bit of egotism in the boy, too, because Marcus likes the Mondovi High School Orchestra best of any. ROBERT STOLL Believe it or not, but Bob’s favorite dish is mashed gravy and potatoes, and we heard it from a “purty” good source! He told us that his heroine is his best girl friend. Now, just which one of them is she? We weren’t going to tell you that Bob’s favorite amusement is dancing, so I guess we won’t. BARBARA TEELA An extra-curricular activity in which Barbara takes part is sliding. We wonder where; down banisters? She loves to dance, and when she’s not doing that, she listens to bam dance programs on the radio. And, also, we’re sure the Prince of Wales would find a place in Barbara’s heart. IRENE TEELA If someone suddenly kidnapped Irene and took her off to the Canary Islands; she would be perfectly contented because there she would find all the bananas she wanted. In school, Irene is in her seventh heaven when she can study citizenship. Perhaps, it’s because of her excellent instructor.

16 DORIS WENDT Doris, you nasty girl! Do you actually read true stories? How scandalous! But, however, her chief interest in life is cooking, and she really plans on obtaining wisdom instead of wealth or fame. PATRICIA WHELAN When Miss Whelan speaks of holidays, she means them, for her favorite one is three months of summer vacation. Some of her favorites are roses, Mickey Mouse, “Last Round-Up.” And Tom Mix. BETTY WITT Folks, meet the future politician of the class of 1936! Do we like this; she refuses to tell her hero; Oh, come now, Betty, let’s just make it a secret between you and us. Won’t that be all right? Her chief interest in life is having fun. Not bad at all!
