13 EVERETTE NELSON So we have a second Napoleon in our class! Everett’s greatest ambition in life is to rule over others, whom he will compel to spend all their time making apple pie a-la-mode for him. He prefers blondes but considers reading newspapers to be the most profitable way to spend his time. MILDRED NORSON This little Norwegian lass’ greatest ambition in life is to become a musician of importance—which we could all guess because of her interest in musical activities. She hasn’t yet decided whether she wishes to marry early or late in life, but when she does woe to the unlucky person that doesn’t like chili con came! PHYLLIS OLBERT When Phyllis realizes her greatest ambition and becomes a teacher, we are sure that all of her pupils will leave her classes only by force. Even though she is as sweet as sugar, she would rather eat fruits than any of Webster’s best chocolates. PHYLLIS PARR Who wouldn’t come out to a baseball game if they found that Phyllis was on the team? Some day that’s where you’ll probably find her because baseball is her favorite sport. Her favorites are apple salad, Kate Smith and the Eau Claire Leader. FRIEDA SCHREINER Frieda says that her ideal husband must be capable of loving and being loved. Sentimentality, we calls it; But just the same, she most desired to possess wisdom and we think that she is certainly well on the way toward realizing her ambition. LORIS SCHULTZ Loris’ greatest ambition is to become a large and strong person so that all of the ice cream he plans on eating won’t harm him in any way. His most interesting hobby is reading, which fact is not hard to believe.

12 LOWELL LAWRENCE We wonder how Lowell could possibly stand to be a forest ranger, and be away from all of his girl-friends for so long a time. Perhaps he would lose his broken heart by reading, which is his favorite pastime now. ROBERT LOFTE Gee, girls! When Bob gets to be an aviator, maybe he’ll take us for a ride. Will we be thrilled! ‘‘Noodles, noodles, who has the noodles!” would be his theme song. Perhaps, the good cook of his dreams will have to order them by the bushel in order to keep him well supplied. TEDMOR LONGSETH Mr. Longseth believes that a lie, theft, or murder is justifiable when it has been forgiven. Now, we don’t know what to think about that! If you little lasses ever hope to be a friend of Tedmor’s, don’t acquire any bad habits such as drinking and smoking, because he won’t allow it. IRENE LURNDAL Pretty soon in her life Irene is going to be an aviatrix, fly out to Hollywood, and bring back Clark Gable. We hope you have good luck, Irene, but don’t you dare start a fight with some other woman over him, because that wouldn’t be exactly ladylike. BEATRICE MOE By the looks of things, here is another aviatrix in the making. Although she claims she wants to be a Nurse, she simply worships Lindbergh, and that’s a bad sign. Now, my lads, are you honest, trustworthy, and strong? If you aren’t, you had better get busy. For Beatrice won’t accept you under par.

14 HILMA SIE A future seamstress! And she probably will be a famous one because she most desires to have fame. Evidently, Hilma believes she can have her good times quietly, because her favorite amusements are listening to the radio and reading the “Readers Digest”. MARCUS STIENKE Oh, Marcus must have already chosen his favorite freshman girl because he wishes to marry early in life. She must be ambitious, good-looking, large, and honest. Contrary to the rule, if he suddenly received $5000, he would try to increase it. There’s also a bit of egotism in the boy, too, because Marcus likes the Mondovi High School Orchestra best of any. ROBERT STOLL Believe it or not, but Bob’s favorite dish is mashed gravy and potatoes, and we heard it from a “purty” good source! He told us that his heroine is his best girl friend. Now, just which one of them is she? We weren’t going to tell you that Bob’s favorite amusement is dancing, so I guess we won’t. BARBARA TEELA An extra-curricular activity in which Barbara takes part is sliding. We wonder where; down banisters? She loves to dance, and when she’s not doing that, she listens to bam dance programs on the radio. And, also, we’re sure the Prince of Wales would find a place in Barbara’s heart. IRENE TEELA If someone suddenly kidnapped Irene and took her off to the Canary Islands; she would be perfectly contented because there she would find all the bananas she wanted. In school, Irene is in her seventh heaven when she can study citizenship. Perhaps, it’s because of her excellent instructor.
