11 RALPH HOLMES You never hear a great deal out of Ralph; maybe it’s because he keeps his thoughts to himself And what thoughts! He loves to dream that “It aint going to rain anymore. If he ever happens to get $5000, he will put it in a nice, safe bank. JOSEPHINE HOVEY This little girl with the hazel eyes often hides great secrets behind them. She likes to read Longfellow’s works, and she is one of the very few girls who like Mae West. Maybe it’s because she doesn’t need to worry about any competition when it comes to the opposite sex. LEANNA HUSTAD Right this way, Miss Hannah, for here you will find a true and faithful admirer of your Home Ec. Class. Perhaps, the reason why Leanna’s favorite dish is fried frog logs is that she used to use toad stools for umbrellas when she was small, and she feels that she’s indebted to their rightful owners—the frogs. NORMAN JACOBSON Three cheers for Norman! His greatest ambition in life is to maintain good health, and that’s more than some people ever think of doing. Oh, oh, girls! Here’s your chance. He does not have any bad habits. But please be careful; don’t crowd so! ANNABELLE KENT Annabelle is the world’s tallest living person—eight feet or more. And she’s Norwegian too! Too bad, boys, there’s not a chance in the world. Her hero is Babe Ruth, now and forever after. What do you think of that? WERNER KREYER You’ve gotta be a football hero to get along with the beautiful girls! Is it ever true in this case! Werner has great ambitions about getting acquainted with Janet Gaynor; He seems to prefer midgets, doesn’t he?

10 GERALD HANSON Joe Penner in person! Free show! Ten cents, please. Does he like spaghetti? You should see him roll it on his chop-ticks. Right now, he’s having a hard time deciding whom he like best - Loretta Young or Mae West. MARION HARVEY I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! At least, Marion thinks we should. Her favorite study in high school is Algebra. Mr. Miller, can you believe that? But, also, she has great ambitions of becoming rich and famous someday. AUDRI HAUNSCHILD Audri thinks that the most enjoyable as well as the most profitable way in which to spend her leisure time is in studying. Don’t try to kid us, girlie, we know you too well! Some of her favorites are: Cary Grant, chili con came, and algebra. MILDRED HILL Here is another love of music. She likes to listen to the ayrack Symphony and Kate Smith - provided the music happens to be popular. She doesn’t know why, but escalloped potatoes just seem to appeal to her. PAUL HILLIARD Paul wants to be a roaming cowboy and live in the wild and wooly West. Girling? Nobody will do but Mae West, and then we will have to wait awhile before her big, handsome “he-man” is ready to settle down. MERLIN HOCH Merlin is a little German lad who takes a particular interest in hunting. Evidently, he’s not afraid of the big bad wolf. He has no heroine, but Slim Summerville is his greatly-admired hero.

12 LOWELL LAWRENCE We wonder how Lowell could possibly stand to be a forest ranger, and be away from all of his girl-friends for so long a time. Perhaps he would lose his broken heart by reading, which is his favorite pastime now. ROBERT LOFTE Gee, girls! When Bob gets to be an aviator, maybe he’ll take us for a ride. Will we be thrilled! ‘‘Noodles, noodles, who has the noodles!” would be his theme song. Perhaps, the good cook of his dreams will have to order them by the bushel in order to keep him well supplied. TEDMOR LONGSETH Mr. Longseth believes that a lie, theft, or murder is justifiable when it has been forgiven. Now, we don’t know what to think about that! If you little lasses ever hope to be a friend of Tedmor’s, don’t acquire any bad habits such as drinking and smoking, because he won’t allow it. IRENE LURNDAL Pretty soon in her life Irene is going to be an aviatrix, fly out to Hollywood, and bring back Clark Gable. We hope you have good luck, Irene, but don’t you dare start a fight with some other woman over him, because that wouldn’t be exactly ladylike. BEATRICE MOE By the looks of things, here is another aviatrix in the making. Although she claims she wants to be a Nurse, she simply worships Lindbergh, and that’s a bad sign. Now, my lads, are you honest, trustworthy, and strong? If you aren’t, you had better get busy. For Beatrice won’t accept you under par.
