BOY SCOUTS Negotiations with the Brick U. B. Church have settled the question of sponsorship of Tnxp 98 and cooperation between the two groups is noticeably aiding the troop and the cause of scouting in Monclova. Gerald Pickering was reap- pointed Scout Master. E.P.Arm- bruster is chairman of the Troop Committee with V.P.Beard, A.Householder, and J. Trapp as members. Officers for the year are as follows: Troop Scribe, R.Wallg Corresponding Scribe,K.Parkerg Patrol Leaders, N. Armbruster and D.FrushergAssistant Patrol Leaders,R.Wall and K.Archambo. Other members are D.Pickering, P.Shoemaker,D.Kruse, N.Barton, J. Grabowski, and L. Towner. GIRL SCGUTS This school year has been one of qualitative progress for the Senior Girl Scouts. The scout troop is divided into two pa- trols- the Steppingstones and the Victors. Lillian Kruse and Molly Woods are the respec- tive patrol leaders. To create more interest in scouting, to uphold and to de- fend their country,to learn to shift for themselves, and to live a clean healthy life is the aim of Senior Scouts Troop. V. Dey, A. A. , The Future Homemakers of America has been organized for girls who have had one year of vocational home economics. The aim of the club is to carry home economics training from the school into the home and offer socialopportunities. The officers are as follows: President, R. Powers, Vice President, S.Dudekg Secretary, M.Kunzg Treasurer, A.M.Walterg Business Mgr., B. Cunningham, Historian, T. Belcher, News Reporter, H. Butz. Advisor, Miss Iman. Other members are E.Stierle, I.Sutton. G.Mevers, M.Sasse,B.Phipps,and J.Phipps. MONCLOVA HI-Y The Monclova Hi-Y Club is a Christian organization made up of boys who want to improve school spirit and the spirit that makes boys grow into healthy good Americans. Our club's membership this year has increased to 18 members. The members are J. Kerr, F. Brauneck, C. Rinehart, D. Strayer, S. Curtis, W- Cannon, C. Wicks, N. Heslet, R. Zwyer, W.Terwilliger, E. Longenecker, D.Frusher, G. Hoover, H.Zwyer, E.McVicker, R.Gaiser, L.OlwicK, and C. Parker. The club's advisor is Mr. Sanford.

PHCTOGRAPHY CLUB sp During its second year of existence the Nbnckwa Photog- raphy Club has expanded in interest and utility. The Junior Club consists of L. Parker, B. Bush, B. Beers, M. Kampfer, R.Wall, and R.Zwyer. The Advanced Club has its nine members of last year who are as follows: R. Gaiser, C. Parker, W. Tretting J. Bell, C. Wicks, W. Kerr, R. Ehret, J. Barton,and F. Brauneck. Mr. Herbert is the club sponsor. Because of the increase in club members this year, the club has had to build a dark room. This new room will accom- modate about six persons at one time. We are also using new equipment which was bought by the club. We sponsored a full length moving picture,HPinocchioQ during the fall. We also showed reels of HCur Gang Comedies,W NWill Rogers,U NLaurel and Hardy,N and HOut of the Inkwell.N A photography contest was sponsored in the spring. There were two groups.One was composed of club members and another composed of non-club members. There is a grand prize for the winner in the combined group and a lesser prize for the best in each group. None of our members will be graduating this yeariso all of the club should be back again next year.
