But as we look back over the road we've traveled this year, we see that it was filled with holes and dotted with stones. How did we avoid so many of these obstacles? It wasn't our own doing . . . Two pair of capable, experienced feet led us, making things as easy for us as they could. So with sincere love and deep appreciation, we, the Class of 1954, dedicate the 1954 LOBO to our sponsors, Mrs. McGowen and Mr. Walker. mm' am l 4 l .ff l f 8 7 Your feet - have you ever really thought about them? Their year begins before the first football game in the fall and continues even after their annual Spring Con- cert is a thing of the past. Members of the band provided half-time entertainment at the football' games, often traveling long distances to perform. 'I Active in and Community Several musical assemblies were enjoyed by the student body, thanks to the band. And several parades were brightened by the gaily-array- ed tunesters. One of the high spots of the year for the organization was their banquet, December 5, at which Pat Cullum was crowned Band Sweet- heart. f -1 4. JoAnn Young was the grouP's manager. 11 Clad Pep Squad Team to Victory Alternate cheerleaders were Lynette Morris, Helen Brannm, Lenora Morris, and Zeta Lou Martin. Wood and Metal Shops Learn Practical Trades The boys in Mr. McLeod's all afternoon metal shop always manage to keep busy weld- ing, working on the metal lathe, working on cars and making belt buckles. Mr. Chitscy's wood shop classes are hard at work on projects such as footstools, cabinets, tables, or desks. Quite a few work on leather projects such as belts, billfolds, and purses during their shop class.
