44 at Advisor: Bob Bottoms The Advisory Committee The Advisory Committee is made up of students se lected to represent social and ethnic groups on the Nlonache Campus . Nleetings are held with each group separately to discuss their specific problems, and leaders are chosen to meet in a combined com- mittee to exchange ideas and concerns and to pre- sent ideas for a better, more harmonious and pro- ductive campus. Other than refining and prioritiz- ing suggestions for presentation to the administra- tion, the committee's primary activity is the plan- ning and implementation of Human Relations Day. This committee has played an important role in re- ducing friction and increasing understanding at Nlonache High School. 56

Look Me In The Eyes We Have No Secrets Human Relations Day is a function de- veloped by the Advisory Committee as a way to increase communication and un- understanding among different groups . This year's activity was planned and carried out by co-chairpersons Debbie Todd and Debbie Watson in the relaxed atmosphere of the Springville Memorial building. Approximately 100 students and 10 teachers participated inthe morning get acquainted activities and the afternoon of brainstorming ways to improve Monache. The general feeling at the end of the day was of increased in trust and the need for more such days . I Want To Believe In Humanity
