Among them were a Low Rider Car Show, and a Disco Dance. Headed by president Freddie Martinez, the club was also involved in many other fund-raisi ng activities to help the Mexican- American students become aware of their im- portance in the school and community. The Mexican- American club has had tamale and enchilada sales, which have given many people a chance to sample food from the Spanish culture. Such outstanding efforts as these show why the club has received the club-of-the- year-award for the past two years.
