Marglt Schumacher Danny Vanca lVlargit Schumacher attended lVlonache for ten months. Nlargit is from West Germany. She comes from a town, population 150,000, called Remscheid, which is near Cologne and Duesseldorf. lVlargit has a sister, Perdita, and a brother, Carsten, and a cat, Kiki. lVlargit lived with the Warren Rankins of Ducor this year, with sister Nancy, 15, and brother Victor, 17 . Danny Vanca came from West llllilford, New Jersey to exgerience lVlonache High in Porterville the second semester in 1977 . Danny is the tyounger of two oys. He enjoys baseball, skiing and was a member of the Ski Club, AFS, and stu ent council. l l l l l J0Yce Clinton Richard Stadtherr Amalia Guzman Joyce was a fall domestic student this year in Pultneyville, New York. She lived with the Chester Peters family on the shore of Lake Ontario. Including Joyce, there were thirteen children in the family . Williamson Central was the high school Joyce attended for the first semester, Asked about how she enjoyed her visit, she said, lVly whole experience was beautiful and very memorable. Richard Stadtherr stayed in Warren, New Jersey, a town about thirty miles southwest of New York City. He stayed with the R .E . lVluIler family and attended Watchung Hills Regional High . One of the things that Richard enjoyed doing was attending the Broadway plays quite often . Amalia went to Buffalo, New York, for the second semester of her senior year . She was very much involved in the lVlexican!American club here on campus. Amalia enjoyed being in the domestic AFS program. 1

They handled the project like true music-lovers, they listened to the notes, tangled with various scales, and attempted to create a harmony of experiences throughout. The album, in itself, was designed to make graphic each student's realities at Monache during 1976- 77. The staff only hopes that these realities will be accepted as lovingly as they were recorded.
