Tim Leming Randy Burns Tim Leming and Randy Burns were representatives to Boys' State from llllonache High . Both agreed it was a learning and rewarding experience. At Boys' State in Sacramento you learn what it is like to play politics for a week. The boys were established into cities and counties and finally into a state. All citizens campaigned in order to fill all the offices which exist in our government. lVlore important than the elections is the actual running of the government, from the passing of laws to the trials of criminals . The best learning experiences, according to Tim and Randy, come from listening to other points of view and even more from the establishing of your own , fl 9:5 5 Michele Tenney Girls' State was an eight-day adventure in Sacramento, California. Over 500 girls at- tended from all over the state . According to lVlichele Tenney, representative from lVlonache High, it was a time of new experiences, new friends, and a lot of fun. The schedule was very tight, full of city meetings, committee meetings, practicing speeches, and gaining new ideas and concepts from other girls to bring back to her own school. HDAY BY DAYH California Scholar- ship Federation is an organization whose membership is limited to only those students who earn high grades in several academic classes. The Nlonache Chapter is affiliated with the state organization . The club generally takes two field trips to college campuses each year. Christians working together to know Christ better is the goal of the students of the lcthus club. These students are interested in apply- ing Christian princi- ples to other stu- dents on campus and sharing their love for God . The club's activi- ties include group discussions, guest speakers, skits, and readings . lcthus is open to all students and is non- denominational .
