The Marauders registered their third con- secutive E.Y.L. championship with a perfect 10-0 season, and, in doing so, have amassed an impressive 30 straightwins in E.Y.L. com- petition. Highlighting the season were the indi- vidual performances of E.Y.L. champions: Tim Vanni, Martin Munoz, Brian Hill, and Mike Landeros . E .Y.L. runnerups were Waco McNutt Adam Gonzales, Bill Kropog, and Dennis Town- send . To top off the season, twelve of the Marauder wrestlers qualified for the Yosemite Divisionals. Tim Vanni and Mike Landeros both had the honor of representing Monache in the California State Wrestling Championships, after placing in the Valley Finals , Landeros went on to take a second place in state competition. Up, Up, And Away Now That Everything's Been Said Carry Your Load Halfway To Paradise GIRLS' BASKETBALL Stone Cold Sober This was the first year that Monache had a girls' basketball team. According to Coach Delbert Buckenr, the team did an out- standing job all around. The main source of the team was determina- tion and hustle, willingness to succeed and to play to their full potential. They started out slowly, but as they learned to work with each other, things came together and the scores improved. The girls finally ended the season with a record. All of the girls will be back next year, and Buckner is hoping to have a bigger and better turnout next year.
