From a new Freshman, to a transferred Senior, it becomes apparent early that the accumulation of knowledge is im- portant to everyone. In the office there are conferences aimed at increasing our already excellent SRA scores. In the parking lot, information is exchanged about the upcoming “killer” test. There are sighs and moans from students over topics ranging from the newest calculus formula, to the two- man quiz in auto mechanics. The atmosphere at Monacan to excel academically is achieved through a melding of parents, students, teachers, counselors and administrators. The undying spirit of our students is met by the dedicated faculty members whether it is during class or after school hours. Monacan parents do their part as well. You can find them transporting students before school for a study session, after school for play re- hearsal, or on the weekend for a field trip.
