Build your Own home Ever thought you would like to design your own house? Well that’s exactly what the students of Mr. Hutchins’ architectur- al drawing class did this year. At the be- ginning of the year they were required to draw up the plans for their original de- signs. This included plans for the floor plan, foundation, electrical system, and plumbing. Once this was all completed everyone began to work on building their models, which proved to be quite a te- dious and time-consuming project. Balsa wood and brick paper helped make the variety of designs, from modern to colo- nial, come alive. Some students used re- alistic-looking gravel for driveways, grass paper for lawns, and miniature shrubbery and trees. After much hard work the finished product makes all their effort worth while.
