Recognition for llutstanding Students ational Honor Society All of the former senior members participated in the induction cere- mony. The induction of the junior members was planned for a later date. The selling of fountain pens by the N.H.S. proved very successful. In all, about 100 pens were sold. An- other N.H.S. project is keeping the activity file up to date. Also a tag day was held. The Monacatootha Chapter of the NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY had a very successful year of activities un- der the sponsorship of Mrs. Virginia Crawford. At the beginning of the school term the N.H.S. along with the Student Council conducted an Orien- tation Assembly for the benefit of the Sophomore Class. lt provided infor- mation concerning how to join cer- tain clubs and it familiarized the stu- dents with some of the rules and regulations. l 4 l l , . Student Council pro- jects include the sponsoring of four excellent assembles, the decoration of the halls for the days preceding the Christmas vacation, and the send- ing of get-well cards to students who were sick for long periods of time.
