Dale Clarke Sponsor ................... Miss Addaline Brandon T wfxs in the fall of 1925 when a group of seventy-five bashful lads and blushing lassies entered Monaca l High School as Freshmen. We admit that we were as green as any Freshman class that had ever before entered the doors of learning. Owing to the vast number of us, we were divided into two groups. But under the supervision and care of Mr. Temple, our class sponsor, we soon learned the rules and regulations of the school. Although overburdened with school work we strove to benefit the interests of our class for the future. Near the close of our Freshman term we lost a few faithful members whose familiar faces we missed when we returned to school the following year. M155 BRANDON Our Sophomore year was more eventful than the preceding one. VVe had a number of successful parties, and a bake sale. At the beginning of the second semester we welcomed Marion Kammer, who came to us from Rochester, into our class. Then in the fall of 1927, we returned to school as Juniors, our number being somewhat decreased. But there was still a noble band of us and some few faith- ful workers left. Under the leadership of our most worthy president, Milton Machin, we rapidly progressed. In February we held a benefit show and in March we presented the play, Ke1npy , both of which proved successful. At the close of the year, after many weeks of careful preparation and contemplation, we were all set for the Junior-Senior Prom, which was a grand and glorious affair. The final years of our high school career had arrived, we were Seniors. Our class had decreased to thirty-five, although our spirit had not decreased. At the bcginning of the term we welcomed Virginia Riedal into our class. She came to us from XVheeling. Throughout the year the V. S. B. Club and the M. T. Club were very active. Miss Brandon, our faithful advisor and loving friend, guided us through our Senior year. In April we presented the play The XVhole Town's Talking which was as successful as the preceding one. We now say farewell to those who are striving for the goal which we have attained-graduation.
