junior ring ceremony L 3 the alpha and the omega, the first and last letters of the greek alphabet, have often been used to repre- sent the everlastingness of God. God is the begin- ning and the end of everything, although he himself had no beginning, and will have no end. this is the message that our juniors carry around with them, and can recall, every time they look at their rings. an important time in the life of any jun- ior is when she receives her class ring, and this year was no different. but it was a special year, as the class of '72 chose the design for the new ring of mon-yough catholic high school. early in september fingers were measured, colors chosen, and forms filled out. fi- nally, on december 21, 1970, sr. marie and fr. sotak took part in the cere- mony, presenting the eternal symbol to 70 proud juniors. 107
