 Haunted Honeymoon was the name of MHS's spring play. It was put on by the Speech Club and di- rected by their sponsor, Mr. Ken Thackeray. Presented on April 13- 14, three members of the cast completely won the hearts of the audience. Sophomore Maureen Mullady and Freshmen Myra Bal- ber and Dan Petersen captured the crowds with their comedy portrayals. 11

Plays 1972-1973 Momence High School's 1972 fall play was entitled Wind Between the Houses . It was the first play to ever use two separate casts. Pam West and Debbie Glow' had the leads Friday and Saturday nights, respectively. TOP RIGHT: Chris Beckman runs from Grace Martin (Deb Glow) when she is caught peeping in at Grace's com- pany (Lynn Calvo and Dave Knowles). BOTTOM LEFT: Myra Balber portrays Grace's concerned but gabby neighbor. BOTTOM RIGHT: Grace's son (Dave Know’les) thinks he is doing the right thing by breaking the urn containing Grace's husband's ashes.

Juniors, Seniors trip through Washington A weekend of highs and lows describes the Junior- Senior class trip to Washington D. C. May 4, 5, and 6. One of the highlights was viewing the Washington Monument, which can be seen from all parts of the city. Even though there was a long line, a few waited for their chance to see the sights from the top. Other sights, such as the Arlington National Cemetery, the Capitol Building and Mount Vernon, were seen during the tour. A unique part of the trip was walking around George- town, a small town outside of Washington D. C. , made up of small specialty shops. Along with a swim party and a picnic lunch, the trip turned out to be one that all of the group wouldn't have missed for anything. There was one disappointment. Kevin O'Cull was un- able to make the trip because of an automobile acci- dent, the day of departure.
