Lost in Time, The Homecoming theme for 1985, was a good choice, because it gave MHS a chance to think about how confusing time is. The Homecoming week was kicked off by the Bedrock Bash. Among festivities on this day were the selling of buttons and a guessing game with Fruity Pebbles. Curt Lampe, a senior guessed the closest. Tuesday was labeled Wild, Wild West. Pony Express tags were sold for carnations to be handed out Thursday. Wednesday called The Roaring '20's, continued the activities with a search for construction paper blocks. If found, the blocks could be turned in for a prize. Thursday carried on with Rock Around the Clock. Hula-Hoop and limbo contests were held. Although all of these were exciting, Friday was the climactic day of the week. During the Coronation, we learned that the Prince and Princess were Michael Massie and Stefanie Kerr. King Guy White and Queen Kelly Bunte reigned over the all-senior court. White, who didn't expect to be crowned king, described what it was like the first moment he knew. The electricity from the audience seemed to flow through my body. The homecoming court consisted of Mary DeCoster, Vikki DeWulf, Michele Michna, Paige Miner, Kelly Sttupp, Michele Smith, Michelle Taube, jim Gravitt, Eric johnson, Henry jones, Kevin Knepp, jason Ortiz, Tim Sigler, and Scott Swayne. Saturday was the dance with Back to the Future as it's theme. Porcelain Tears played songs from the past and present. The excitement of Homecoming 1985 proved that it is something we will remember well into the future as one reminisces about the days at MHS. Kevin Knepp, senior intensely observes the game against Quin- cy, MHS students dance it up at the Rock Island Sheraton during the homecoming dance. n.2fi6N.n13 HIJTJGYL9'
