On October 19, 1981, United Nations Ambassadors from nineteen foreign coun- tries toured Moline High School. The high quality of American education, as evidenced by Moline High students, was apparent to the visiting dignitaries. Touring several departments, they were impressed by the different instructional techniques such as the computer programming lab and individualized study. The morning press conference allowed both dignitaries and students the opportunity to ask questions and share opinions. Meeting and speaking with the U.N. visitors was a unique learning experience for all the students involved. 1. Board members and Allendale staff were on hand for the press conference. 2. Mr. Kongo Kabore, Councilor for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Upper Volta and Senior Sheryl Bahnks visit the library. 3. Mr. Herndl, Senior Diplomat of Austria, addresses the students, faculty, and guests at the press conference. 4. Representative Mr. Jorgen Parning of Denmark shows his enthusiasm as he answers a question at the press conference. 5. Seniors Mary Carroll Bay and Kirsten Voungberg explore the Student Cirriculum Guide with Mr. Bernard Bayolet from France.
