Til HI ATI ST SNOW ON IAITI Homecoming Week 1981 was both exciting and extraordinary. It began with Circus World Day on Monday on which UN Ambassadors from all over world visited the school. Other special days included Three Ring Day on which clues were given over the intercom for finding hidden certificates for three gold rings from an area jeweler and Clownation Day when colored carnation were delivered. Friday was a day full of excitement with the Coronation ceremony, parade, and Homecoming football game against Quincy. The week’s activities concluded with the Homecoming Dance, Send in the Clowns, on Saturday night. 12 Homecoming

1. Seniors proudly display their first place float at the Homecoming game. 2. I’m “ape” over you. 3. The members of the 1981 Homecoming Court are fourth attedants Jeff Skoglund and Lynda Schwein- berger, third attendants Corey Lodico and Ruth Gilmore, second attendants Calvin Hays and Jenni- fer Saylor, first attendants Derek Woods and Julie Schroeder. The 1981 King and Queen are Pat Puebla and Mary Jane Helm. 4. Contemporaires “ham” it up during halftime of the football game. 5. King Pat Puebla and Queen Mary Jane Helm bask in their glory, a moment which they will never forget. 6. The second place Sophomore float chugs its way down 23rd Avenue. 7. Students receiving Honor- able Mention for the Homecoming Court are, clock- wise, John Natsis, Brad McCormick, Mike Horton, Collin Lodico, Jill Hokinson, Patti Liljegren, Julie Sandstrom, and Marti Schwartz. 8. The King and Queen for 1981 make their traditional appearance at the Homecoming football game. 9. The Jazz Band proudly plays the coronation song. 10. The Junior float was “Leaping for Victory”. 11. “Ears” to you! 12. Melissa Timson clowns around while Ronald McDonald waves to the crowd. I
