Anxieties at MHS soared high for the weekend of Homecoming 71 . The fes- tivities started with a senior coronation assembly. The 1971 Homecoming Court includes: FRONT ROW: Randy Peterson, Sally Lundgren, Bob Stevens, Mindy Graf- ton, Amy Anderson, Kevin Wicks, Mona Harding, Bob Freeman. BACK ROW: Steve Camferdam, Deb Blow, Steve Kell- er, King; Linda Serres, Queen; Marianne Karstens and Scott Thompson. Later the Homecoming parade marched down 23rd Avenue to Browning Field where that night, the mighty Maroons made a valiant but unsuccessful attempt- to beat the Quincy Bluedevils. Spirits were not damp- ened for long however, for Saturday night GAA transformed the Homecoming dance into a Devil ' s Dream . 12
