ThaT iT is beTTer To give Than To receive The MHS sTudenT learns in various ways. A giTT is remembered wheTher iT be a giTT oT Time spenT in helping oThers less TorTunaTe or a presenT To an underprivileged child. The Tirnn hand oT MHS was exTended To The communiTy in The Torm oT FuTure Nurses aiding in The AugusTana speech class Tor children. Junior Achievement wiTh iTs miniaTure corporaTions, gave The sTudenT a chance To meeT The indusTrial and proTessional com- muniTy on a common basis. To meeT and discuss, design and prof duce, sell and divide proTiTs, were noT The only obiecTives oT This organizaTion. MeeTing The people of The communiTy and developing a spiriT OT consideraTion Tor oThers, Their needs and Their views, made The venTure a communiTy proiecT. . . . and Tive Thousand Teenagers meT and lisTened as Jesse Owens spoke.
