SPRATT STREED SWANSON WEST CRAWFORD HARRIS MARTIN MURRAY The Line O,Type The Line O' Type under the capable direction of Linwood Murray has efficiently performed its duty as a recorder of school events. It has brought much credit and honor to the school by winning second place in its class at the Illinois Press Association Convention held at Champaign, and also by bringing home the banner for the best sports story at the High School Newspaper Convention sponsored by Knox College. The business alTairs of the paper were very ably managed during the hrst semester by Ralph Stephenson, and upon the graduation of Ralph in January the financial end was supervised with equal care by Stanley l-loyt. The management this year continued to publish the paper weekly as was done the previous year. The articles in The Line O' Type have always been in real newspaper style. Four special columns proved of great interest. namely, X, Up and Down, Gridiron Gabblef' and USO I Am Told. The extensive use of cuts has also helped to liven its pages. 124
