WOODLAND by Carol Beyer I come to be alone In the silence of the woods, My ears hear only words of music Pealing radiantly forth from the creatures of the woods from the winds of the woods, from the growing of the woods. My eyes take in the sculpture of nature In all its wonder to the tiniest insect, to the grooves of a mushroom, to the reflection of a tree. It is here in my wonderland Where I can be alone, just my thoughts and I-- dreaming, planning, wishing. . . Nature a.nd I exchange ouraideas, We strive through our problems., And when I leave the silence of the woods, I feel fresh and new like the flower sprouting beneath me, Ready for the world, to reach out and understand its wonders. ALONG THE WAY by Carol Beyer I walk into the field of life but cannot see the end, The land stretches far ahead into the hazy unknown horizon, There are roads that cross and gates to pass, Along the Way. I continue on and see the small wonders of the World, my eyes can perceive the works of the Lord, Plants and animals cluster about me, as I continue Along the Way. I strive forward on my path and notice other lives about Me, my life reflects throughout my mind, and I realize Mistakes I have made, while I try accomplishing better, as I go Along the Way. , . n, V 5-.. , K , I GJ i xx :- w.rk,,' X . . r ' i. ff ' - 'Al 1 A ff - 4 .- I -I , .,' T -FQ 4 .
