EXECUTIVE OFFICER LCDR TJ. JORDAN Lieutenant Commander Jordan is a 1972 graduate of the University of Virginia and the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps program. His initial assignment was USS HAROLD J. ELLISON (DD-864) as Gunnery Officer and Main Propulsion Assistant. Subsequent assignments in- cluded Surface Warfare Officer School, Newport, Rhode Island (Department Head course), USS MILLER (FF-1091) as Operations Officer and USS HARLAN COUNTY (LST-1196) as Engineering Officer. An assignment ashore on the staff of Surface Warfare Officer School, Newport, Rhode Island was followed by duties as Scheduler and Assistant Surface Operations Officer for Commander, Cruiser Destroyer Group EIGHT. He assumed duties as Executive Officer in USS MOINESTER in January 1985. Unit, campaign and service awards include the Navy Unit Commendation, Meritorious Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal, Navy Expeditionary Medal (2nd award), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Battle E (3rd award) and Sea Service Deployment Rib- bon. Lieutenant Commander Jordan is married to the former Georganna Cabaniss of Shelby, North Carolina. They have a daughter, Sara Catherine, and currently re- side in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Commanding officer CDR O.K. EVANS Commander Evans is a 1965 graduate of Pennsylvania State University and the Naval Officer Candidate School. He has served in both the Atlantic and Pacific fleets. His first duty station was USS BAUER (DE-1025) where he served in the Weapons Department. Subsequent tours of duty included Officer in Charge of a Patrol Craft Fast (PCF) attached to Commander, Coastal River Squadron ONE, assignment to Destroyer School, Newport, Rhode Island as a student. Engineering Officer and Operations Officer in USS RUPERTUS (DD-851), Flag Secretary t o Commander, Cruiser Destroyer Squadron EIGHT, Execu- tive Officer and Navigator in USS ELMER MONTGOM- ERY (FF-1082), Naval Military Personnel Command and the staff of the Chief of Naval Operations. He assumed command of USS MOINESTER in December 1984. Com- mander Evan ' s military decorations include the Bronze Star with combat distinguishing device, two awards of the Navy Commendation Medal with combat distin- guishing devices. Combat Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation, three awards of the Navy Unit Commen- dation, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy Expedi- tionary Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and Vietnam Service Medal (ten campaigns). He is married to the former Laura Feme Meyers of Idaho Falls, Idaho and San Diego, California. They have a son, Seth Alan, and presently reside in Virginia Beach, Virginia. ■ 6Stb
